Panagiotis Lenakis

Executive Chef & Founder

Born and raised in the vibrant city of Athens, Greece, Panagiotis developed a deep passion for food from an early age. His path was clear: after completing his education at the esteemed culinary institute of Athens, he embarked on a journey that has taken him across the world. Over the course of more than 11 years, he has refined his craft in some of the world’s most exciting and prestigious kitchens, including the renowned three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Maaemo in Oslo, celebrated for its innovative take on Nordic cuisine and meticulous attention to seasonal ingredients, as well as the one-Michelin-starred Restaurant Kontrast, where modern Scandinavian techniques meet sustainable, locally sourced ingredients. Alongside his Michelin-starred experience, Panagiotis has thrived in fine dining establishments and traditional eateries, mastering a broad spectrum of culinary techniques and styles.

His culinary adventures have led him to explore and immerse himself in various cultures, working in renowned kitchens across Greece, the UK, Italy, Israel, Cyprus, and numerous Greek islands. These experiences have expanded his culinary repertoire, enabling him to master a wide range of cuisines while also gaining a deep appreciation for the unique flavors and traditions of each region.

For the past five years, Norway has been his home. His first encounter with Scandinavian cuisine came nearly seven years ago, during a two-month stage at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Norway. This introduction to the Nordic culinary philosophy and its deep respect for local ingredients left a lasting impression on him. The minimalism, sustainability, and seasonal respect in Scandinavian cuisine resonated with his own values, inspiring him to incorporate these principles into his work.

Panagiotis also noticed the strong culture of dining out in Norway and the enthusiasm people have for experiencing exceptional food. He observed a growing global trend toward bringing the restaurant experience into the comfort of one’s home. In response, he dedicated himself to providing a high-end, personalized gastronomic experience that allows clients to enjoy restaurant-quality dining without leaving their homes.

As the visionary behind Greek Private Chefs and Daglig Deilig Gresk (DDG Catering), Panagiotis merges his Mediterranean roots with a Nordic mindset to craft bespoke culinary experiences. With every event—from intimate dinners to grand celebrations—his focus is on creating memorable moments through a blend of exceptional ingredients, innovative techniques, and Greek hospitality. His leadership and culinary expertise drive private dining experiences and catering events that deliver high-end, custom-tailored dining, celebrating the fusion of Greek and Norwegian flavours.
